Hemorrhoid is a condition where the vein near the rectum swells. Hemorrhoids are so common in adults that every three out of four adults suffer from it from time to time. - High Fiber Food: Eating food high in fiber content like fruits, vegetables, and whole grain loosens the stool facilitating easy movement of the stool.
- Topical treatment: Hemorrhoid cream containing corticosteroids help treat hemorrhoids.
- Warm bath: Soaking the anal area in warm water for ten to fifteen minutes relieves the pain and also cleanses the skin near the anus.
- Avoiding dry toilet paper: Using a moist towel or a wet toilet paper helps avoid further complication while treating hemorrhoids.
If the hemorrhoid is mild, it can be treated with mild creams. For severe conditions, there are treatments which include injections, rubber band ligation.
