Get Speed and Stylish Looks With Porsche Macan
In addition to the brand’s well-known Sport Chrono package, which includes several drive settings and a launch-control feature, Porsche has introduced the Macan T trim to the inventory. The regular Macan’s 261-horsepower turbocharged 4-cylinder engine powers the Macan T. Otherwise, it is an all-wheel drive like the rest of the line-up. There is no denying that the updated Macan is remarkable for an array of interesting features, some of which are listed below.
Engine
The standard 4-cylinder turbo engine allows the Macan to go from 0 to 60 mph in only 5.0 seconds. The twin-turbo V-6-powered S or GTS variants, the latter of which generates 434 horsepower and accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in under 3.5 seconds, are appealing to speed seekers.
Interiors
The many previously present buttons have been removed from the interior of the redesigned Macan. Most of the controls in the center console are replaced by a large touch panel with tactile buttons, while Porsche-style dedicated buttons are still used for the HVAC settings. Aside from being larger (10.9 inches), the touchscreen now supports Apple CarPlay and has a much better resolution.
Exteriors
The Macan’s design updates are subtle, typically found with a Porsche redesign. While the trademark Porsche curves are still present, paying closer attention will reveal updated front bumpers. With the addition of a body-colored panel, the “tiger claw” valves have been connected. A new front grille and LED headlamps have also been added. However, the charming clam-shell headpiece is still there. It is immediately recognizable as a Macan from the side, thanks to the nineteen-inch wheels and coupe-type form. For the enthusiasts, there is a unique 3d pattern on the lower part of the black panel.
Fuel efficiency
The base variant of the Macan with the supercharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine, which is rated at 19 mpg city and 25 mpg highway, is the most fuel-efficient vehicle, according to the EPA. The dual 2.9-liter V-6 used for the models is rated for 17 mpg in the city, but the Porsche Macan S model achieved a higher highway rating of 23 mpg compared to the GTS’s 22 mpg. The Macan S improved its highway mileage by 3 mpg, averaging 26 mpg on our 75 mph highway fuel economy loop.
Safety
A wide range of driver-assistance features is available for the Macan, although very few come as standard. Essential safety elements include typical lane-departure alerts, automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control.
