A four-wheel drive is much more than just a motor and wheels shuttling you around town. Invariably it becomes an intimate space that you share with your partner, kids, and most importantly by yourself.
A car with well-crafted design and superior functionality is known to elicit a strong emotional response.
The Japanese car manufacturer Honda seems to have intuitively understood and mastered catering to this need of their customers. Another gem in the Honda line up is the 2017 Honda accord hybrid plug-in. Responding to the growing environmental concerns of its customers, the 2017 Accord Hybrid has one of the highest EPA fuel-mileage of 48 MPH according to U.S. EPA’s updated guidelines.
The new version comes equipped with better steering, suspension, brake and has an updated cruising range of 758 miles.
In keeping with the Accord Hybrid tradition, this one also comes with three drive modes. This consists of the EV Drive. This is responsible for the all-electric propulsion of the front wheels when the engine is off, provided the battery has enough charge.
This vehicle smoothly shifts the electric running from the propulsion motor to the gasoline engine simultaneously recharging the battery via the second motor. Also, the engine and propulsion motor are locked together, allowing for a combined use of electric/gasoline power depending on road speeds and load.
This shift amongst the drive modes is seamless and automatic. And changes depending on energy efficiency.
Available in three levels: Hybrid, Hybrid EX-L, and Hybrid Touring and priced just above $30,000, the 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid Plug-in checks all the boxes. It is a must Buy!
